AI Policy

Policy on the Use of Artificial Intelligence and Automated Tools

Journal of Modern Mathematical Studies (J-MMS) recognizes that artificial intelligence and automated tools may be used to support certain aspects of scholarly work. Their use must not compromise academic integrity, authorship responsibility, confidentiality, or the reliability of published research.

For Authors

Authors remain fully responsible for the content, accuracy, originality, and integrity of their manuscripts.

AI tools must not be listed as authors or co-authors.

If generative AI or similar tools have been used in a substantive way in preparing the manuscript, including for text generation, language editing, data processing, code generation, image generation, or mathematical and computational assistance, the authors should disclose such use where relevant.

Authors must verify all AI-assisted content, including factual statements, mathematical arguments, references, equations, data, code, and citations.

AI tools must not be used to fabricate data, references, results, or sources.

For Reviewers

Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.

Reviewers must not upload unpublished manuscripts, figures, data, or confidential editorial information into publicly accessible generative AI systems or other tools that may retain or reuse submitted content.

AI tools may be used only when confidentiality and data protection are fully preserved and when such use does not replace the reviewer’s own expert judgment.

Reviewers remain solely responsible for the content and quality of their reports.

For Editors

Editors must protect the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and personal data.

Editorial decisions must not be delegated to generative AI systems.

AI-assisted tools may be used for administrative or technical support, provided that editorial independence, confidentiality, and academic responsibility are preserved.

The journal may request clarification from authors, reviewers, or editors if the use of AI tools raises concerns regarding originality, reliability, confidentiality, or research integrity.
